About Linda
I am a marriage and family therapist (MFT) who has been helping people navigate life's challenges since 1986. I provide psychotherapy and counseling services to pre-teens, teens, adults, couples, and families. I take a solution-focused, collaborative approach to guide those seeking better and more fulfilling lives through emphasizing what works in psychotherapy. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy, which is grounded in science and evidence-based practices. I tailor each treatment to my client's unique life situation and personal goals, and I believe in meeting my clients where they are in life in order to address the issues most critical to them.
My Background
I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1979. I went on to earn my Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon in 1986. I obtained my California Marriage and Family Therapy licence in 1991. Additionally, I have earned certificates in advanced Drug and Alcohol Counseling (UC Santa Cruz), advanced treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (Behavioral Therapy Training Institute), the Gottman Method for healthy relationships, and Collaborative Divorce.
